Thailand: A Full Moon festival at Nong Khai pagoda in Isan, sketched in 1866-67 by French expeditioner Louis Delaporte.

The full moon was celebrated by all the local townsfolk who gathered in the temple for blessings. A monk seated high in the sala recites Buddhist verses. In the foreground, Burmese merchants are depicted. In front of the altar, gifts of fruit have been offered from the villagers to the monks.
