Vietnam: Wounded Vietnamese orphan, Dak Son, 1967.

According to the United States Information Agency data attached to this image, taken at the height of the Second Indochina War (Vietnam War, American War) in December, 1967: 'Two battalions of Viet Cong systematically killed 252 civilians in a "vengeance" attack on the small hemlet of Dak Son. Tears are streaming down the face of little three-year-old Dieu Do, now homeless, and fatherless'.
