Sri Lanka: Fresh fruit display at a market in Tissamaharama, Southern Province (2004)
Tissamaharama is an ancient bustling, isolated town chiefly visited for its Buddhist relics and for access to Yala West Park. Tissamaharama is centred to the south of Tissa Wewa, a huge man-made tank thought to date from the 3rd century BCE.
