A mythical character in the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi', Zhun Ti Daoren was a saintly figure, said to have come from the West, the land of Buddhism. He brought with him the wisdom and teachings of the Buddha, enlightening the people of the Shang Dynasty. He rode on a carriage pulled by the famous Wisdom Peacock Mahamayuri, son of the Phoenix.
