Lu Renjie was a minor character in the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'. A general serving under the white ape spirit Yuan Hong at Mengjin, he fought for King Zhou of Shang, battling against the Zhou army. He would eventually meet his end at the hands of the immortal deity Nezha.
