China: Carving of Li Bing (Li Ping), depicting his role in the 16th Century Ming Dynasty novel <i>Fengshen Yanyi</i> ('Investiture of the Gods'). From Ping Sien Si Temple, Pasir Panjang Laut

Li Ping was a minor character from the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'. Li Ping was a disciple of the immortal Lu Yue, and tried in vain to discourage him from falling into the Pestilence Trap. Together, they are both killed by Yang Ren.
