China: Carving of Yu Xian, depicting his role in the 16th Century Ming Dynasty novel <i>Fengshen Yanyi</i> ('Investiture of the Gods'). From Ping Sien Si Temple, Pasir Panjang Laut

Yu Xian was a minor character from the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'. Yu Xian was the son of Yu Hualong, commander of Tongguan Pass, who would later kill himself. Alongside his brother Yu Zhao, Yu Xian fought against and was killed by Yang Ren of the Zhou army.
