Yu Da was a character from the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'. Yu Da was the son of Yu Hualong, the commander of Tongguan Pass who would later kill himself after a humiliating defeat, and brother to Yu De and Yu Guang. Yu Da fought on the side of the Shang Dynasty against the Zhou army and the enemies of King Zhou of Shang. He would eventually meet his demise at the hands of the legendary warrior Wei Hu.
