Lee In-sung (1912 - 1950) was a Korean painter based in Daegu. He studied art in Japan, but was heavily influenced by Western Art. He has been dubbed the 'Gauguin of Korea'. Lee was accidentally shot dead by a policeman after returning home drunk one night during curfew.
