Korea: Portrait of Nam Gu-man (1629-1711), Joseon Dynasty politician, scholar and statesman

Nam Gu-man (1629-1711) served as rector of the National Confucian Academy and minister of punishments.

In 1683 when the Westerners (Seoin) faction split into the Old Doctrine (Noron) and the Young Doctrine (Soron), he led the latter group.
