John of Montecorvino, or Giovanni da Montecorvino in Italian (1246 – 1328), was an Italian Franciscan missionary, traveler and statesman, founder of the earliest Roman Catholic missions in India and China, archbishop of Peking, and Patriarch of the Orient.
