Jigme Lingpa was the promulgator of the Longchen Nyingthik, the Heart Essence teachings of Longchenpa, from whom, according to tradition, he received a vision in which the teachings were revealed.<br/><br/> The Longchen Nyingthik eventually became the most famous and widely practiced cycle of Dzogchen teachings. On 14 December 2006, the king abdicated and transferred the throne to Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck who was officially crowned on 6 November 2008.<br/><br/> Ashi Jetsun Pema Wangchuck (born 4 June 1990) is the Queen Consort (Druk Gyal-tsuen, literally 'Dragon Queen') of Bhutan, as the wife of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
